Do I need new belt pulleys for water pump?

I am changing my water pump and cambelt but went to order the water pump but it says on the product description- excludes belt pulleys, are the belt pulleys needed? can I order seperately, if so where from?

Thanks!

It depends on the make of your car which, you have not given.

This suggests that you can remove the pulley from the old pump and put it on the new one. That would be unusual I feel and so you need to check this.

I am wondering if you have got this confused with the cam belt order and they are talking about the cam belt idlers/tensioner which also need to be changed.

You have not given the car make, model or engine type so it will be impossible to be more specific
you should be able to pull the old pulley off the old water pump, you might need a special tool for it dodge/chrysler is infamous for this set- up, does your new water pump have threads where the pulley should go? and if you should require a new pulley any way, you can get it from a new car dealer parts counter for your make of vehicle.
it's normal workshop practise to fit a kit which includes idler pulleys and other relevant parts when fitting a cam-belt, some main agents, like alfa romeo, change water-pumps at the same time to avoid belt failure due to a pump seizing.
they can be ordered separately at most local motor factors
