Changing water pump in 93 camry need info?

im changing my water pump and timing belt is there anything else i need to do or replace while it is apart|||On that old of a vehicle i would not change much else except what it needs for general maintenance because if you start you will put the engine out of balance with the rest of the parts and everything will start happening. good luck|||That%26#039;s pretty much it, unless you find one of the bearings in the belt rollers noisy.|||Most people do replace those 2 parts at the same time because they%26#039;re so closely related. It might not be a bad idea to replace the timing belt tensioners. Either the spring or the bearings can go bad on them without much warning. Certainly, I would at least check them very closely. And maybe the crankshaft seal if your gasket set doesn%26#039;t already come with one.

One thing to consider is whether yours is an interference engine. I%26#039;d be much more likely to replace the tensioners, if your engine is. Check these 2 links here to find out.

You also might as well check your serpentine belt tensioner closely too, while you%26#039;re in the neighborhood, although not as critical.

Here%26#039;s a link to a repair guide, in case you need one.
