they explains that water pump has goen causing the leackage of coolant. That needs to be changed and as the cam belt is over due they ecommend it to change on the same go. they asking for 拢420
Now, the garage says on further inquiry taht its the water pump that has gone. they recommend changing both?
The logic to doing both at the same time is that many of the same parts have to be removed to do both jobs. So as long as they have the engine apart to replace the pump it would be easier to go ahead and replace the belt at the same time. Doing them together will save you labor money. Also if you let that belt go and it breaks it can in some cases do a lot of damage to the engine. They repair bill would be more like $3000.00 if that were to happen.

its common for waterpumps to leak ..you cant repair them ..they must be changed ...you do not maintain your car very well ...if you did then the cambelt would have been changed before ...unfortunately you forgot to tell us what make the car is ...拢420 is not a rip-off
