Where can I get the diagram for the 1991 GEO Metro to help me diagnose this problem.
Thanks,
Changing a water pump on 1991 GEO Metro?
The factory service manual will be your best resource for troubleshooting, bar none. It will have more information about your car than anything else out there. It will not %26quot;skip%26quot; diagrams like the chiltons or haynes; it will have everything you will ever need.
The parts catalog will be your best resource for parts identification and compatibility with other model years (if you needed to pick up parts from the junkyard). You can usually get a %26quot;parts microfiche%26quot; on ebay, which has the entire parts catalog in microfiche form. You can then take the fiche to your local library and print them out on a microfiche printer.
You can get a factory service manual off ebay; there just so happens to be one available right now.

Changing a water pump on 1991 GEO Metro?
I advise getting a haynes manual or chilton manual from your local parts store. hope this helps!
I doubt you can find a free online diagram, but you can probably get a Chiltons at your local library. You really shouldn't need one though. That is probably the easiest water pump in the world to change!
If it is not air conditioned, or turbo charged, you will only need to remove 9 bolts, and loosen 2 more!
First, loosen the 4 bolts on the water pump pulley. That should be easy to find, it is the highest of the three pulleys. Then loosen the alternator adjustment bolts and ease the tension on the belt and remove it. Then remove the 4 pulley bots and remove the pulley. Then remove the upper bracket arm from the alternator and move out of the way. Then remove the 4 bolts that hold the pump to the housing, tap lightly with a hammer and remove it. Clean the mating surface and just work backwards to re-install the new pump.
It is best to disconnect the negative battery terminal prior to avoid accidents, but I don't. I can do the whole job in about 30 minutes!
You say you want to diagnose a problem though, what exactly do you need to diagnose?
